Tottori Shan-Shan Festival

Tottori Sand Dunes
Tottori Sand Dunes, located in Tottori City, is one of Japan’s largest sand dunes, stretching 16 kilometers from east to west and 2.4 kilometers from north to south. It has been designated as a national natural monument and is a protected area. The dunes are known for their stunning sand patterns and unique, varied landscapes. Additionally, there is a “Mimiarai-ike” (Ear-Washing Pond), where the wounded white rabbit, bitten by a crocodile in the myth, is said to have healed its injuries using cattail reeds.
