Ohara Festival
The “Ohara Festival” is an annual event held in Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, on November 2nd and 3rd. It’s a popular autumn tradition in the region that has been celebrated since 1949. The festival is centered around the local folk song “Ohara Bushi,” with both locals and visitors dancing to the rhythm of the tune. The highlight of the festival is the “Sō Odori” (Grand Dance), where around 20,000 dancers fill the streets, wearing vibrant costumes and chanting lively cheers. Sakurajima

Tosen Gorge
